Discovery Partners Institute
Led by the University of Illinois System in partnership with top regional and global research institutions, Chicago-based Discovery Partners Institute (DPI) trains people for in-demand tech jobs, funds and conducts applied research and development, and launches new businesses built on university technology.
DPI, an Illinois Innovation Network hub, envisions a tech workforce as diverse as Chicago and Illinois. It works systematically with elementary, middle school and high school students, college and community college students, teachers and working professionals. With state investment and a new innovation district in development, DPI has the resources to attract, develop and leverage the most ambitious people and companies the region has to offer — and keep them here.
Currently located at 200 S. Wacker Drive, the future permanent home for DPI will be built in Chicago's South Loop development, The 78th.
