The 7 acres grounds display a variety of common and unique trees,
shrubs, and flowers. There are approximately 250 trees on the property
consisting of 33 genera and 42 species. Notable examples are: Carolina
silverbell, sassafras, purple leaf beech, star magnolia, cucumbertree
magnolia, gingko, corktree, white poplar, gold false cypress, hemlock,
concolor and douglas fir, blackgum, persimmon, buckeye, walnut, many
oak, maple, pine and spruce.
