Strategic Communications and Marketing Council (SCMC)

Purpose

SCMC connects the communications leads at the universities, in System Offices, and at the foundation and alumni alliance in order to strategically position the University of Illinois System and promote/market the institution with its many stakeholders/constituencies, including faculty, staff, and students; prospective students and their parents; alumni; legislators and community leaders; peer institution staff; research agencies; health care providers; and Illinois residents. SCMC committees address specific issues and provide consultation on core communications and marketing initiatives.
