'Salute' Events for High School Students

Two essential annual events add to the roster of ways U of I System universities introduce themselves to students from historically underrepresented groups.

Salute to Academic Achievement welcomes high-performing students from Chicago-area high schools to hear from current college students about learning and growing at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, University of Illinois Springfield and University of Illinois Chicago.

Salute to Illinois Scholars invites high school and community college students to celebrate their academic achievements while encouraging them to attend one of the 12 public universities in Illinois. Each student and parent or other supporter can learn about scholarships and financial aid while networking.
