Dr. Timothy N. Koritz, who has served on the University of Illinois Board of Trustees since 2009, was elected to a one-year term as chairman during the board’s annual organizational meeting Thursday at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Koritz of Roscoe, is a staff anesthesiologist at Rockford Memorial Hospital and a former clinical assistant professor at the U of I College of Medicine at Rockford. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a medical degree from Harvard University.
