Filing a Request

University Relations, a central University of Illinois System office, responds to all FOIA requests for the University of Illinois. Thomas Hardy, executive director of the Office for University Relations, is the chief records officer for the University of Illinois.

Questions should be directed to Matt Rogina, assistant director for FOIA administration . He can be reached at or 217-333-6400.

NOTE: The University of Illinois only possesses records relating to the University of Illinois System and its three universities in Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield. If you seek records from another public body (for example, Western Illinois University or Illinois State University), please submit your request to that public body.

NOTE: Due to volume, requests are not acknowledged.
