University HR Metrics

The purpose of the visualizations below is to present quantitative data in a consolidated format.  It allows users the ability to interact with the data that is being visualized by utilizing and setting filters. Once the desired filters are set, users can interact with each individual visualization to see the data values that are represented by the visualization.  Specifically, these visualizations show demographic data about employees at the University, including age ranges, race/ethnicity, salary ranges, biological sex, and years of service.  The visualizations can be filtered by college, department, organization, job type, and employee classification.    

The filters and visualizations on this website have been created using Tableau, and every effort has been made to ensure WCAG 2.1 compliance.  You may use the tab key to focus on each filter and visualization.  Tab order has been structured so that filters will always come before the visualizations they restrict.  After you focus on a filter, press Enter to activate it and then use arrow keys to access the filter options.  After you focus on a visualization, press Enter to begin interacting with it and note you can listen to your screen reader for descriptions of each component and data point as you navigate.  Your screen reader may refer to data points as “marks”.  For more information about how to navigate Tableau dashboards with a keyboard and screen reader, please visit Keyboard Accessibility for Tableau on the Web.
