UI Ride: The University of Illinois System Intercampus Shuttle

NEW FOR FALL 2019 - Starting Oct 31st

UI Ride is an intercampus shuttle service connecting Urbana-Champaign and Chicago to provide an affordable, efficient, and convenient mode of transportation for the University of Illinois System faculty, staff, and students to conduct official University of Illinois business as well as to encourage and facilitate research collaborations. All shuttles are wheelchair accessible and can seat up to 18 passengers. On-board amenities include free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, a restroom, and collaborative workspace. UI Ride gets you where you need to go without losing productivity and without worrying about traffic and navigation with routes that will run Monday through Friday multiple times each day.

The University of Illinois System’s UI Ride shuttle service is operated by Facilities & Services at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in collaboration with Facilities Management at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

We invite U of I Faculty and Staff to join us for the UI Ride Launch Event! Please join us for remarks from President Killeen and others as well as a tour of the bus and light refreshments.

Urbana

Thursday, October 3 at 9:00 am
Levis Faculty Center, 919 W Illinois

Remarks by Chancellor Jones and President Killeen at 9:15 followed by an open house until 1 pm.

Chicago

Thursday, October 4 at 9:00 am
Jane Addams Hull-House Residence Dining Hall, 800 S. Halsted

Remarks by J. Rex Tolliver, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and President Killeen at 9:15 followed by an open house at Jane Addams Hull-House until 11 am.
The bus will then travel to Student Center West located at 828 S. Wolcott Ave to continue the open house from 11:30 am until 1 pm.
