The University of Illinois Identity

The identity of the University of Illinois is linked with excellence and access and as a best-in-class institution. Excellence in teaching, research, and public service. Access for students of all income levels to the three campuses. And a best-in-class educational and research institution.

It is important for members of the University community -- in University Administration (UA), on the campuses, and at the University of Illinois hospital -- to understand and use the various graphic identity elements correctly.

UA Online Staff

Staff in UA units who work on websites or other online initiatives are invited to subscribe to the UA web listserv. This list is used to distribute information about UA online initiatives. Emails are infrequent.

OUR Responsibilities

The UA Review final report (July 2013), approved by the president and chancellors, vested University Relations with "the authority to standardize and coordinate communication by the various UA offices" (Recommendation 16, page 14). UA staff should contact University Relations with any questions.
