Mental Health Awareness and Support

The University of Illinois System is deeply committed to the well-being of every member of our community. We recognize that mental health is foundational to success in the classroom, in the workplace, and in life.

The Office of the Executive Vice President/Vice President of Academic Affairs sponsored the creation of this website dedicated to mental health resources in compliance with the Mental Health Early Action on Campus (MHEAC) Act. By providing these resources, we aim to increase mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and increase access to resources.

Mental health encompasses emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing, affecting how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.

For students, it influences academic performance, social connections, and the ability to manage the pressures of university life.

For faculty and staff, it impacts teaching effectiveness, workplace satisfaction, and work-life balance.
