Committed to Access

The University of Illinois System is committed to improving opportunities for our diverse population to access to an affordable, world-class public education at our three universities. We're holding costs down by freezing tuition, increasing the number of available scholarships, adding new transfer agreements with community colleges, and offering more online and non-traditional learning opportunities.

Our stories

Here's a small sampling of how we are providing an accessible education to students within Illinois, across the nation and globe:

All citizens of our state--not just students--can access the knowledge and expertise across the U of I System through a variety of public engagement opportunities, one of the most recognizable being that of the state-wide University of Illinois Extension. Extension provides practical, accessible education to help people, business, and communities solve problems, develop skills, and build a better future.
