Student union buildings renamed The student union buildings on the UIC campus were renamed in January 2005 following Board of Trustees approval. Student Center East (SCE) opened as the Chicago Circle Center in September 1965, while Student Center West (SCW) opened as the Chicago Illini Union in 1967. Learn more about the name change...
