University Hall dedicated
University Hall was built in 1873 to replace the Urbana and Champaign institute which had been the first, and to that point the only, campus building. College of Pharmacy affiliates with U of I
Founded as a private college in 1859, the Chicago College of Pharmacy lobbied the state for, and gained, permission to join the University of Illinois in 1895. They gained degree-granting status in 1932 and changed their name to "The University of Illinois College of Pharmacy." First traffic signals on campus
