Illibuck

Illibuck dies
The Illibuck, a wooden turtle trophy given to the winner of the football game between the Urbana campus and Ohio State, was originally a live turtle. After his death in 1926, a wooden replica was made and passed between the teams upon each win until 1950, when he was stolen. Mosaic

NCSA Mosaic released
At the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), Unix-platform version of the Mosiac web browser was released by Marc Andreessen and NCSA staff member Eric Bina.
