Strategic Communications and Marketing Council (SCMC)

Purpose

SCMC connects the communications leads on the campuses, in UA, and at the foundation and alumni association in order to strategically position the University of Illinois and promote/market the institution with its many stakeholders/constituencies, including faculty, staff, and students; prospective students and their parents; alumni; legislators and community leaders; peer institution staff; research agencies; health care providers; and Illinois residents. SCMC committees address specific issues and provide consultation on core communications and marketing initiatives.
