AITS: Administrative Information Technology Services

AITS delivers enterprise-wide information technology solutions and services in support of the administrative processes of the University of Illinois. AITS provides data center services, 24/7 Service Desk support, and the development and integration of enterprise applications.

Business Process Improvement Shared Services

BPI is a service that  builds on successful models at other higher education institutions such as the University of Wisconsin at Madison Office of Quality Initiatives and other members of the National Consortium for Continuous Improvement in Higher Education. Using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, a core and tri-campus virtual team will help your unit analyze your processes, set improvement goals, and help you achieve those goals. This service is a several month endeavor where the PPMO will work side by side with your department.

Portfolio & Project Management Office

The purpose of the Portfolio and Project Management Office (PPMO) is to provide project, program or portfolio management consulting and tools.  The PPMO consists of 6 core staff members with expertise in project, program, portfolio, and process management. This team helps academic and administrative units identify their project or portfolio management goals and achieve those goals through expert consulting and facilitation.  

RIMS: Records and Information Management Services

RIMS coordinates the development of policies and services related to all aspects of records and information management including records retention and disposal. RIMS focuses on: developing and managing policies related to records and information management, developing practical and scalable solutions for managing digital content, providing records and information management training and best practices, and offering assistance in assessing current operational information management practices.
