Administrative Review & Restructuring (ARR)
Welcome
In November 2009 President Ikenberry, in consultation with the Board of Trustees and the Chancellors, charged the Administrative Review and Restructuring (ARR) working group to conduct a broad scale review of the University's administrative structure and the delivery of administrative services with the aim of improving performance and reducing costs and to recommend a broad set of reforms and changes to achieve these goals.
The ARR working group has approached its task recognizing an important tenet: Over the years, it is the quality of our teaching and research programs and the fulfillment of the land grant mission that has enhanced the reputation of this institution and benefited the people of this state. The University's ability to maintain this quality and to invest strategically in its future despite the financial challenges we currently faces makes it imperative that administrative services be delivered in a cost efficient and effective manner.
On January 21, the work group made an initial presentation to the Board of Trustees to describe the scope of its activities and timetable. The group expects to submit its final report to the President and the Chancellors in June.
