Swearing in
In January 2009, the Illinois House of Representatives met in Sangamon Auditorium
to swear in new members of the 96th General Assembly and elect officers.
Nearly two million people have visited Sangamon Auditorium since it opened in 1981.
The facility seats more than 2,000.
